Thitz Exhibition and Installation "Bag inside "
Thitz leaves the art her essence, but he takes her from the heavy weights , with the generations of art historians and serious interpretators they have made it weighty. He is a reformer , one who allows direct contact up again without any prelate must convey . Respect , restricted to its natural limits , the eyes open , thinking works boundless.
The Interest of he artist, born in 1962 in Frankfurt am Main, has not only in mind the purification of our view on the art , but also the creation nof new wolrds. Details become a new formal Subject , shows up more refined and the moods become more subtle. The color of the haze over the Venetian lagoon is similar only to the first glance across London - the light is different , southern , mild . Like a fata morgana rises the silhouette of Santa Maria della Salute on the Grand Canal over. The light has always been in the Venetian architecture of outstanding importance. Congenial Thitz takes the ideas of the architect Baldassare Longhena on, multiplies them with own ingredients and animates them. On the calm waters of the lagoon drive bags as philosophical comments. Thitz 'art has many facets. Clear and sunny flows can be like the Hagia Sophia, his paintings, once cathedral of Constantinople Emperor, today tourist attraction in the bustling Istanbul. Cool and colorful as Berlin or New York, visionary as London's vast panoramic bird's-eye view, melancholic and profound as the work of his hybrid series with its redeemed color. Plants overgrow the cities of the ancient world and also these pictures, depth and magic arises, like in the novels of Carlos Ruiz Zafón.

Bags of all countries, unite!
(Title of the Austrian art magazine "Culture")
" And, of course, there are the bags, Thitz’s ‘unique selling proposition’. The bag is his trademark, and to this day it naturally plays an important role. It is a surface for his painting, an important component of his collages, and, over and again, a herald from foreign lands and cultures. With the bag, the artist travels the world; he finds it everywhere, in China, in Japan, in the USA. The messages it brings reflect the colorfulness and diversity of our world and the people in it. The bag stands for the world of con- sumption and passes on messages. It conceals secrets, revealing only what we want others to see.. "Dr.Stephan Mann Director Kunstmuseum Goch
Fashion City Dusseldorf, football or rather "Die Toten Hosen"?
These Dusseldorf typical associations tend more to speak of flag-waving soccer-fans, carrier bags of shopping addicts than to global cultures or art projects. The artist Thitz brings together all of that. Can art at all? "Commerce contradicts art" Colors contradict seriousness? " How well this in reality works may show a view from the window in any city of the world "claims Thitz.
Indeed, it is the quintessence of his many trips around the globe, which prompted the artist to look for the "unifying, common" among the people. And Thitz found something: "There is now a kind of global popular culture. An often urban embossed, deeply human culture, which has long since evolved beyond politics, borders and religions. These include now besides newspapers, Facebook, Twitter also comix, graffiti and some useful things as soap and certainly bags. "Says Thitz. He uses bags from around the world for his installations , interactive projects and integrated into his pictures.
“Philosophically, this relationship is neither surprising nor unexpected. So it is not the formal expression of that urbanity, which seems contradictory but it's a matter of perspective. If we turn our media-led focus to the wars and cultural conflicts, we mainly perceive boundaries and weapons. But if we consider ourselves directly from human being to human being this is changing the angle of view and the focus falls on the human similarities. This creates an opportunity for the necessary development of a future global culture.”
